Banyan comes in 50grm hanks 102mtrs. Knits to a tension of 22sts x 28rows on a size 4mm needle. Hand wash is recomended. available in over 30 of Colinette's fabulous colourways.
Banyan is a finely twisted fibre that is made up of 49% cotton and 51% viscose this blend creates a yarn that is light sumptuously soft with a delicate sheen that makes this fibre so special and with it’s beautiful drape it makes all designs come to life. When Colinette was developing this yarn she knew she wanted something special and so far all those who have knitted with Banyan feel she has succeeded. To complement this new yarn is an exciting pattern book called ‘Banyan‘ containing five spring/summer designs. Banyan will not only knit to the new pattern book but also to our existing D.K ‘Cadenza’ pattern book. So now you can swap Cadenza and Banyan as you please giving you all the basics you need.

Cadenza is a wonderfully soft 100% merino wool that comes in 50g hanks. It knits to a standard DK tension so patterns are in abundance. In case you need a little help Colinette has put together a charming booklet titled 'Cadenza' that has some classic sweaters and cardigans that are sure to get you started in no time. Not only is Cadenza lovely to work with and wear it is also very practical. Classed as 'easy care' Cadenza is a yarn that can be machine washed on cold or at 30 degrees. Not only that you can place it in the dryer on a low setting.
For best results we recommend a cold setting on the washing machine combined with a wool detergent and the lowest setting on the dryer. If your dryer has only one setting we suggest not to use the dryer and opt for laying the garment flat in a warm place to dry. Forget the sparklers this is the real thing! A yarn that brings out the ooohs and aaaaahs in every knitter and will leave an effervescent glow in the eyes of all onlookers.Firecracker is 100% Polyamide. Comes in 100grm hanks 70mtrs. knits to a tension of 8sts x 12rows on a 10mm needle. Cool hand wash is recomended. Whilst Firecracker has it's own pattern book it is also great for mixing with other yarns for scarves and wraps.
